Is there any warranty on your products?

Yes, we have a limited 3 month warranty on our rope for any structural damage that isn’t caused by the user, such as cutting it. We ask that the customer contacts us with a picture (so we can see what happened and work to improve our product) and we will give them a one time replacement at no cost. This warranty is voided if the customer reprocesses the rope during the first 3 months. (reconditioning it for safety does not count) If a customer has special requests for processing, we ask that you reach out to us, prior to purchasing, so we can do our best to accommodate you. All other products have a limited 30 day warranty, this includes items purchased online, in person or by special order.

How do you treat your processed rope?

We start the process for both treatments the same.

  1. We inspect the rope for any imperfections and then hang the rope for 2-3 days to let the rope relax from any kinks or bends it may have from storage.

  2. We then run the rope against itself through a carabiner to help remove any residual grass debris from spinning the rope.

  3. Once we complete that, then we use a high temperature gas flame, such as a butane camp stove flame, and light burn off the excess fuzzies remaining from the rope.

This is where the treatment differs between our oiled processed rope and wax blend processed rope

  4. OIL PROCESSED ROPE: We use a cloth soaked in jojoba (pronounced hohoba) oil and run it over the rope to make sure the entire length of the rope is covered. Now your rope is ready for use.

  5. WAX BLEND PROCESSED ROPE: We use our custom blend of beeswax and jojoba oil and coat the rope with it. Once the rope has been completely coated, we place the rope in a disposable baking pan (one that isn’t used for food) and bake the rope at about 225 for 12-15 minutes until all the wax has been melted. This gets the wax all the way through the rope and feels nice and soft. Once it has cooled, its ready for use.

How frequently should I recondition my rope?

The frequency of reconditioning your rope depends on how much you use it. The more you use it, the faster you will need to recondition it. As there is no set time, our rule of thumb is that inspect your rope regularly (we inspect ours before each use) and if it shows signs of being dry, it should be reconditioned. Drier rope tends to break faster, so use within your own risk profile.
