Kinbaku Studio Creator Program Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the Kinbaku Studio Creator Program. By applying for and participating in the program, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before submitting your application.

1. Program Overview

The Kinbaku Studio Creator Program supports riggers, bottoms, and educators who actively create and share rope content. Selected participants (“Creators”) receive a one-year rope kit (13 full ropes and 4 shorties) and other benefits in exchange for producing consistent, credited content featuring Kinbaku Studio rope.

2. Eligibility

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age

  • Submit a completed application through our official form

  • Receive written approval from the Kinbaku Studio team

  • Maintain an active online presence with consistent content creation

  • Uphold the Core Values of Kinbaku Studio: artistry, connection, safety, and accessibility

We reserve the right to accept or deny applicants at our sole discretion.

3. Program Benefits

Approved Creators will receive:

  • Annual Rope Kit (13 × 8m ropes + 4 × 4m shorties)

  • KnotCare™ Warranty on all ropes

  • Discounts on Hardware sold by Kinbaku Studio

  • Rope Replacement Support (as needed, at our discretion, during the project term)

  • Spotlight Features on Kinbaku Studio’s website and social platforms

  • Early Access to new rope colors and special editions

  • Priority Consideration for the Kinbaku Studio Ambassador Program

  • Promotional Gear Pack including:
    – Branded stickers
    – Pins or patches
    – Mini Rope Care Kit (sample block or vial of rope wax/jojoba blend)
    – Additional promotional products as they become available, with Creators first in line to receive them

4. Creator Commitments

As a Creator, you agree to:

  • Post a minimum of 10 pieces of content per month (photos, videos, tutorials, reels, or performance clips) featuring Kinbaku Studio rope.

  • Clearly credit Kinbaku Studio in all sponsored content, using proper tags and mentions:

    • Instagram: @KinbakuStudio

    • X: @KinbakuStudio

    • Fetlife: Kinbaku_Studio

    • Website: kinbaku-studio.com

  • Promote safe, consensual, and inclusive rope practices.

  • Not misrepresent yourself as a Kinbaku Studio employee or authorized reseller.

  • Disclose your affiliation in compliance with FTC guidelines (e.g., using #ad, #sponsored, or #KinbakuStudioCreator).

  • Understand that failure to meet posting requirements or withdrawing early from the program may result in being invoiced for the retail value of the rope kit provided.

5. Conduct & Community Standards

Creators are expected to uphold Kinbaku Studio’s Core Values: artistry, connection, safety, and accessibility. We may remove any Creator who engages in:

  • Consent violations or unsafe practices

  • Hate speech or discriminatory behavior

  • Misrepresentation of Kinbaku Studio

  • Failure to meet posting requirements

6. Term and Renewal

  • The Creator Program is a one-year project.

  • Renewal or continuation is at the sole discretion of Kinbaku Studio, based on performance and alignment with brand values.

  • Rope kits are issued once per year only.

7. Termination

Kinbaku Studio may terminate your participation at any time, with or without cause. Reasons may include, but are not limited to:

  • Failure to meet posting or crediting requirements

  • Breach of brand values or community standards

  • Inactivity or lack of communication

  • Any behavior that harms the reputation of Kinbaku Studio

⚠️ If terminated for cause or if you withdraw early, Kinbaku Studio reserves the right to require repayment for the retail value of the rope kit provided.

You may also withdraw from the program at any time by emailing support@kinbaku-studio.com.

8. Limitation of Liability

Kinbaku Studio is not liable for:

  • Technical issues with posting or tagging

  • Loss or damage to ropes once delivered

  • Any damages arising from your participation in the program

  • Any income expectations — this is not an employment or contractor agreement

9. Modifications

Kinbaku Studio reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be communicated via email or official program channels. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
